This old car was in South Beach, Miami. There is an Art Deco district there that was originally built up as a new vacation spot for for the middle class. Apparently, before the 50's middle-class people couldn't afford to take vacations.
Now, hotels like this are probably quite expensive to stay in.
Spent some time exploring Little Havana, Miami. This is a typical house for this area. What really struck me, is that everyone in Miami speaks Spanish. English is merely a second language, as in many countries, that can be used to communicate with out-of-towners.
Santa Domingo, DR
I find little shops like this to be colorful and inviting. We would buy a bottle of rum for about 8 dollars and make Cuba Libres that were drunk by the hotel pool.
