New Square Format

I like the general idea of this shot. I'm going to go back and get someone standing at the far end, so that I can get more of a tunnel effect.
I really like the tones of this shot. It took me awhile to get a shot where I was steady enough, and to make things harder, there was a crowd of people walking by that constantly blocked me.
I finished a big research paper on Sunday afternoon! To celebrate, I spent the rest of the day taking pictures at the University of Washington, and the arboretum.
This picture is dedicated to my friend, Kim Amaro. She is going to have a major surgery at the University of Washington. I hope that it goes well and that she make a quick recovery.
I read that these trees are reaching the end of their life expectancy. A committee has been formed that is working on a plan to graft new life into the trees so that the UW campus will not be without their beloved Japanese cherry trees.
