Interceptions

I took this one awhile ago. This guy was from Florida and had really bad melanoma skin cancer which left the scars on his face and actually took one of his ears. He said that Seattle was too cold for him but that it kept him out of the sun. I've met him again once since I took this picture and he remembered me. I didn't have my camera with me that time though.
Me: Hey, how's it going?
Him: Hey, great man what's up?
Me: Well, I'm a street photographer. Can I get a picture of you?
Him: I guess. But I'm not on the streets, I've cleaned up and been off the streets for awhile now.
Me: Ok, (click) I didn't think you were homeless. You look like you're doing alright for yourself.
Him: I've got a job and an apartment now. So are you like professional or something?
Me: No, it's just a hobby, but I try to take lots of pictures at home, so when I travel I'll be good at it. It's hard just going up to people that you don't know. Where do you work at?
Him: Hallmark, I've been stocking cards in that store just over there (points).
Me: Nice to meet you, have a great night at work.
Him: Nice meeting you too.
