Color Portraits? What's going on here?

"Why should we want to know a stranger when it is easier to estrange another? Why should we want to close the distance when we can close the gate?" Toni Morrison

Gospel Singer

The first MHGS student that I've posted!

This lady was from New Orleans and was displaced by Katrina. She was so nice, and we talked together for some time.

This guy sells things in the Pike Place Market. He's not very talkative though.

As you can tell I took my lunch today at the market.

Oh, the gum wall. Have you been there? Ask me, and I'll take you there and then for a beer at the Pike Pub after class.

This guy said that he used to be a model. Don't laugh. I'm serious... Well, you never know.

I thought I'd add a little color to my blog tonight. Usually I think that color in portraits distracts from the soul and the texture of a subject, but what the hay!

I am loving the color! How is it that I grew up in Seattle yet have never been to the gum wall? Pretty sure I can handle not seeing that!
