Our hiking club did an overnight trip that included climbing the highest mountain in Eastern Europe (2925 meters I think). For many of us it was our last hike together. We planned on doing quite a bit of walking, so I opted to leave my tripod behind. This turned out to be a mistake because I ended up taking the gondola halfway up.
